Enterprising Limpsfield Ltd is a community-focused company owned by local Limpsfield investors who came together to buy The Bull Inn in 2018.

The historic Bull Inn, a centuries-old pub in the heart of Limpsfield came up for sale in 2018, when its previous owner decided to move on to other pursuits.

In order spare our historic village pub from developers, a group of Limpsfield residents formed Enterprising Limpsfield Ltd in order to buy the pub through the investment of locals and other interested parties.

In May 2018 we realised our initial investment goal to buy The Bull Inn and began renovating the building to bring it up to standard to create a viable and profit-making offer, according to our business plan.

After several months of very hard work by a huge number of dedicated people, we finally re-opened the doors of The Bull Inn to the general public on November 1 2018.

Enterprising Limpsfield Ltd aims to provide both a local investment opportunity and an exciting community-minded business, promoting entrepreneurship, enabling local supply chains and creating jobs within a community hub (The Bull Inn), thus maximising local inward investment and community participation.

We developed and continue to develop and implement a forward-thinking business plan designed to promote quality local independent food and drink producers, and other complementary activities and businesses.

the original investment opportunity

This tax-efficient investment opportunity was launched in March 2018 and was open to a wide range of investors, across all ages and walks of life, with shares available from £100 for under 30 years old, and from £500 for over 30s. We have over 200 investors and a management board of four directors.

We are very proud of our achievements to date, particularly having weathered the Covid storm with multiple full and partial lockdowns, which was very hard for anyone in hospitality.
