We’re gearing up for a great Burns Night tonight!

We have two unique events taking place at The Bull this Friday, January 25th – Burns Night! Our Burns Night Experience (whisky, supper and entertainment) with Crusade Productions is already sold out, but tickets are still available for our special pop-up whisky tasting event in our beautiful Grain Store from 5pm-7pm.

This exciting event, co-hosted by Hennings Wine Merchants, our fabulous wine and spirits supplier is the first pop-up we have held in our lovely grain store. It will consist of a fun and educational tasting of four wonderful single malt whiskies for you to try, sourced from some of our favourite Scottish boutique distilleries: Highland Park, Tamdhu, Glen Garioch and Kilchoman.

The ticketed event, hosted by Amanda Tetlow of Hennings Wine Merchants, will be a fun and educational tasting experience. Come along after work any time between 5pm and 7pm and taste some of the finest single malts that Scotland has to offer.

1. Highland Park 12 Year Old Single Malt, Orkney

Highland Park, the northern most of Scotland’s distilleries, dates from at least 1798. It is good contender for the greatest all-rounder in the world of malt whisky. Definitely in an island style, but combining all the elements of a classic single malt: smokiness (with its own heather-honey accent).

2. Tamdhu 10 Year Old Single Malt, Speyside

Tamdhu 10 Year Old is the first release in our slowly maturing range of exquisite whiskies. Matured exclusively in sherry oak casks, the finest in the whisky industry, we ensure every drop is as magnificent now as our founders envisioned over a century ago. Finally, 10 long years are required to allow these fine casks to do their work, giving Tamdhu its wondrous natural colour and award-winning quality.

3. Glen Garioch Founder’s Reserve Single Malt, Highland

The quintessential Glen Garioch, Founder’s Reserve celebrates the brothers who first established the distillery and the 200 plus years of craftsmanship that goes into every bottle that bears the Manson name. Butter cream and vanilla pave the way to fruity green apple skin and citrus cleanliness, leading to an elegant and subtle finish.

4. Kilchoman Machir Bay Single Malt, Islay

The Machir Bay range is our core expression, first launched in 2012 when it won the prestigious IWSC 2012 Gold Award Best in Class. Machir Bay is a picturesque sandy beach overlooked by the Kilchoman Church just half a mile from the distillery. Unlike most Kilchoman releases Machir Bay is matured in both Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks affording it a beautiful balance of rich tropical fruit, peat smoke, light vanilla and intense sweetness.

Tickets cost £10 and include 4 x 25 ml whisky shots and nibbles.
Book in advance via email: info@thebullinnlimpsfield.com – or come along on the evening and pay on the door – first come, first served. Guests must be 18 years old and over.
